Come Sunday afternoon – come reading magazines

This Week my sunday afternoon magazine – 15th August 1967 issue of US VOGUE edited by Diana Vreeland with Mia Farrow shot by David Bailey on the cover. Its absolutely amazing to browse the journal as you notice on every single page how contemporary the styles seem. Below I am going to show you my favorite examples:

  • The thigh high boots designed by David Evins shot by Irving Penn fuse a little buckled Mary Jane with a skin tight leggins style leather bootleg. Isn’t that reminiscent of Frida Giannini’s horse bite loafer cum knee high boot hybrid for fall 2014?

  • The colorful coat with its fauvist style print worn by Marisa Berenson shot by Gianni Penati is very much in line with the pastel fauve swirls embroidered onto dresses from Marc Jacobs fall 2014 collection.

  • The black coats shot by Irving Penn are totally in line with the stand out crocodile coat from Nicolas Ghesquière’s debut collection at LV.
