Its almost one year since Dior’s iconic white double pearl earrings hit stores. They were followed by the more edgy rubber finish Dior gum tee shirt and the metallic Dior tee shirt earrings. However, honestly I start to get a little bored of seeing them everywhere around and begun to wonder how the next earring hit from Dior might look like.

After seasons of absence from the Dior collections ear jewelry made a return on the brands most recent resort runway in Brooklyn (pieces are going to hit store around Dec 2014)! This time they showed pairs of mismatch earrings, consisting of a classic hook on one side and a banana shape on the other side, in many different colors.

After the creative mind behind the double pearl earring design Camile Micelli left Dior in January 2014 to work together with Nicolas Ghesquière on the Vuitton custom jewelry this might be one of the first coups of her successor. What is your opinion on the new Dior earring style? Do you think it is going to be promoted to become a hype similar to Dior gum tee shirt and Dior tribal?
The hook on one side and the banana at the other is overload for me!!! I hope they sell it separately. When they do so I feel that the earrings can become very covetable. I mean Celine is doing one side hanging styles for fall and LV did it too.
I like Dior double pearl earrings a lot. Bought my first pair in pearl color about 1 year ago and then I bought a pink metal style. I love to wear them on both sides and like to mix and match the different colors. For me the double pearl is really unique the “new earrings” shown here could be any other brand – I don’t believe and hope that they are going to replace the double pearl earrings!
