Yesterday Chanel cruise Dubai was presented. A little similar to Métiers d’Art Paris Dallas Karl Lagerfeld fused the spirit of Dubai with the Chanel heritage. As typical for a Chanel show there were so many different shapes, patterns, colors and decorative elements in the show that its really hard to name some favorites.

Pants ruled the Chanel cruise Dubai runway with shapes ranging from palazzo over straight and cigarette towards cuffed harem pants. A lot of white pants were present and gave the collection a little bit of Riviera spirit. One of the most adorable pants might have been a white slightly cropped straight pant with 3 little buttons and decorative, cobalt blue embroidery at the ankle. I guess the same pant style was also sent down the runway in black and cream with more simple buttons.

Skirts and dresses ranging from mini to maxi were usually layered above the pants. Particularly in the evening field they made absolutely adorable sensual looks, which can easily be worn with simple heels or sandals to adjust for smaller woman.

For Chanel cruise Dubai Karl Lagerfeld also explored the one-piece playsuit, which was worn above pants. This might be in line with a general trend towards overalls and dungarees. Definitely cool pieces if you draw inspiration from Alexa Chung and have her body. But I guess the purchase of them is highly age and shape restricted – They will not look too good on an average woman!

A lot of tweed was present in the form of dresses, coats and classic box jackets. Although more Peruvian meets hippy than Arabian a long blazer coat with cropped sleeves immediately fascinated me. It looked so much like 70ies Sausalito worn with a pair of flared jeans.

Regarding knitwear Maison Barrie had a moment too. Sweaters, cardigans short and long as well as little shrugs all with a floral pattern, a little reminiscent of Pradas cherry blossoms from summer 2013, were presented. The turquoise pullover will definitely make a super stylish look with a pair of cobalt pants and a white shirt underneath.
