In general I am a huge fan of “French style” and love to keep all the looks of woman like Caroline de Maigret, Inès de La Fressange, Carine Roitfeld or Clémence Poésy on my pinterest pinboards. However, among all those French style icons one is my personal standout. Its Emmanuelle Alt, editor in chief of Vogue Paris! Comes fashion or couture week I am always totally excited to spot some street style pictures of her on the internet to get some new inspirations! Day 1 – Emmanuelle Alt summer style

For her appearance at the Schiaparelli and Dior shows on Monday Emmanuelle opted for a black pant suit with a black top underneath. The standout element were a pair of red kitten heels with a black cap toe.

Day 2 – Emmanuelle Alt summer style

For her second day look Emmanuelle returned to the black blazer, which she already wore for the Chanel Dubai presentation and the Louis Vuitton cruise presentation in Monaco earlier this year. Again she wore her signature waist belt, but changed the look slightly by wearing the sleeves down. To finish the look she wore a simple Breton top, a pair of cuffed black jeans and some ankle strap kitten heels. For me this look proofs once more that mass media and an awful lot of people with a limited fashion understanding, are totally wrong – fashion week street style isn’t only made up of crazy people! There are so many tastefully dressed woman, who provide us with great inspiration! Emmanuelle’s look would work equally well outside of a fashion context for a woman, who works as a lawyer, teacher or whatever!

Day 3 – Emmanuelle Alt summer style

At day 3 Emmanuelle Alt returned to another familiar staple of her wardrobe – The simple anthracite trench. Combined with a black top, charcoal denim and the red statement heels from day one it was another totally effortless and tasteful look. Again there is no hint of a fashion context. The some outfit would work perfectly for a woman of every other profession!
