The Business of Fashion (BoF) Interesting stuff to read…!

Not really a sunday afternoon magazine to get inspired but a really interesting newspaper magazine hybrid to read! The Business of Fashion (BoF), which is something between a newspaper and a magazine, was the second purchase I spotted while queueing at the Colette cash desk. The Business of Fashion (BoF) special print issue and webpage deal with news from the fashion industry in a way that is a little similar to WWD. However, all articles on BoF seem to be completely free of charge and I somehow also feel that BoF is meant to give even a deeper insight into the company core structure than WWD!!! At whom is the journal targeted!

As the page also contains a career market place first line audience are definitely all people, who directly work in fashion or those, who start to think about working in fashion. But beyond this primary target group I feel that a lot of people outside of the fashion industry can benefit from reading the special print issue or the page as it allows to get a lot of inspirations no matter, which field you are working in. Furthermore, I also feel that for a shopper its highly interesting to get a little closer insight into the industry one is entering on a shopping round. In this way its also possible to plan fashion investments not only according to the personal taste and current trend but also as a real investment, that might increase in value over time (This is of outstanding importance when it comes to building a jewelry or handbag collection, which you want the inherit from generation to generation!).
