After Paris Dallas (Chanel pre-fall collection) gave the Chanel classics, like Boy, flap and reissue bag, a vintage cowboy makeover the supermarket collection adapts them for the ghetto kids! Something like that might be one of the first thoughts that crosses once mind when having a look at the 2 parts from the Chanel fall collection. But taking a little deeper look I have to admit that there are some really great pieces hidden in the Chanel grocery bag collection, which starts to arrive slowly in store at the moment!
One of my top bags of the collection is the Boy bag in either orange or green. Its a surprising choice for someone, who usually favors black and neutrals. But if we just take a look at shows like Dries van Noten, Dior or Prada it becomes crystal clear that a pop of bright color is going to be quintessential to stay in style for fall.
The second bag style that caught my eye is another version of the Boy bag. Its a chevron style with chain detailing. The hardwear is not dominant and its really elegant and definitely timeless. It comes in red, black and some kind of ivory hue.
And my third favorite so far – maybe not for buying but more for admiring it – is the Chanel Lego (Boy brick), which received a bar code treatment for fall. I know its logo mania to the max, but in case of this bag I simply love the abstract design so much that I neither care that it looks plastic nor that it is covered with logos all over.
What do you think? Do you like the Chanel grocery bag collection? Which one is your favorite so far?
