After we know that peaked caps are a great headgear for fall and a blanket style jacket or scarf is the ultimate wrap around the shoulder for fall 2014 lets come to the next big thing – The long coat trend! Lets collect some inspiration from the fall runway!
Long tweed coats opened the Chanel grocery store show for fall 2014. They were worn with leggins, cropped tops and trainers in a way that made them look like they had directly stepped out of a 90ies editorial from a fashion journal. Besides the tweed coats there were several more takes on the long coat trend on the runway. These included a more tightly fitting double breasted style as well as a duster coat, which came in black and green.
In contrast to the 90ies glamour styling at Chanel Costume National (just for reference you can find a store in Paris, 5 rue Cambon) employed a paired down approach. Long coats were combined with mens style pants, oversized boxy shirts and platform brogues.
The all Parisian brand Isabel Marant presented the long coat in a very Bohème light. Combined with ankle boots, a short skirt and a big sweater or a tapered pant and a ruffled shirt!
Long coat trend yes or no? What do you think? Are you going for a long coat this fall or do you prefer to stay with your just above or below the knee coats?
Yes I like the long coat trend a lot and as almost always feel that Isabel Marant simply has the best styles!
I love the long coats, bought my first this spring – super comfy & practical ! Feom the above pictured coats my clear favourite is the first Chanel and the Isabel Marant styles!
Love them!!!!
