Neoprene sweaters, mesh, parachute & Co

So let’s continue with the fall trends. After we analyzed the outerwear trends in detail I feel its time to concentrate on another key item of any cold wether wardrobe – its a sweater! And while cashmere is always a classic choice – I feel that with the advent of sportswear-as-ready to wear neoprene sweaters or mesh jumpers are an off the moment choice. Let’s find some brands that played with this trend for fall!

neoprene sweaters

The topic of Balenciaga’s pre fall collection was “Techno couture” and one of the many great pieces within it was a black neoprene looking cropped sweater. Another great example of the incorporation of utility fabrics in sweaters is Stella McCartneys black mesh sweater. At Milly there was another mix of utility fabric high end fabric in the form of a diamond quilted leather sweater.

Whats your opinion? Are you into the big utility fabric sweater and feel that this is going to become your new “coat” this fall? Or do you think that these bulky pieces that will never fit under a coat are simply not made for you?

For me a great alternative to a blazer in autumn, because when you take it off in a restaurant or shop its easier to wrap it around your shoulders or even put it into your tote!

Super cool sweaters <3 The Stella one looks really great – But sad to say not for all those woman with narrow shoulders, like me 🙁 Guess I have to stay with my boring shirt – pullover – blazer layering!

Big sweaters haven’t been an integral part of my wardrobe until now. Maybe I am going to change it this season. Let’s see!

cropped or above the hip ending is good, middle directly ending on the hip – makes you so fat – you won’t even imagine!!!!!!!!!!! Actually, I am not a sweater girl 😉
