Gruyère sweaters on the Chanel grocery catwalk!

Gruyère sweaters on the Chanel grocery catwalk, a ladder sweater shown at Sister by Sibling and a whole collection dedicated to knitting and runners at Comme des Garçons! Feels that 90ies deconstructivism has a huge moment for fall!

But its not only these hard to wear trends. Many brands like Dolce & Gabbana (store.dolcegabbana.com), Saint Laurent or Each Other offer more classic sweaters with inside out seams to add just a tiny trendy touch!

What’s your opinion? Deconstructivism yes or no?

deconstructivism until a certain point! When a pair jeans has holes in a way that it shows more leg than it covers its too much for me! The CDG tights are cool because they give the illusion of deconstructivism without really being! The come is socks and a shirt as well – absolute must have for me!

I <3 classic sweaters with inside out seams, but not the heavy deconstruction with holes etc!

This ripped and deconstructed approach is so omnipresent in fashion since several years. Unhemmed jeans, jeans with holes so big that your total knee hangs out – t-shirts with a deconstructed neckline! Very often its hard to find a fashionable piece without these details! I have a lot of fashion interst yes – but I am in the middle of my 40ies working in a conservative environment. So this trend or how ever it may be called is not made for me! Hope that it finds an end in the near future and that I can start to enjoy my jeans shopping once again!

I also agree that its super hard to find sleek denim thats neither too much distressed nor too faded! Personally found Acne to be a good choice 🙂

Yes denim is definitely the field where deconstructivism started to become such an integral part that its not even a trend anymore! to some extend I like it, but I agree when it gets to much its unflattering & it limits to occassion where you can wear the jeans!

I feel that the cheaper the brand the more severe is the used look of the jeans! And thats bad cause I don’t like to spend €500 on a pair of jeans! That’s why I switched to pants during several seasons. Denim isn’ t a wardrobe staple for me anymore 🙁

No denim:( For personally its hard not to wear denim everyday, its my ultimate signature piece. Sure I go for pants without severe destruction or used effects, like APC, acne, saint laurent or the row 🙂

I don’t mind deconstructivism. But I agree too much is too much and thats often the case when it comes to denim!
