Trending for fall 2014 – the wrap mini skirt

Let’s continue the makeover of the skirts department of our wardrobe for the upcoming fall. As we already discussed in a previous post midi surely was the major skirt length that was snapped by street style photographers during the most recent fashion month! But somehow major online stores didn’t feel that this skirt length is going to become a mainstream favorite any time soon and continued to strongly focus on mini skirts. So how to wear them and which ones are the best this fall?

I don’t want to bore you and refer to fashion month street style again and again. But when we trust a little in the taste of showgoers there was one skirt that was incredibly popular. And who could be the brand behind it! Of course, Isabel Marant. It is called Adelaide skirt and is available at net-a-porter.com.

But it wasn’t only Isabel Marant’s Adelaide, the fall 2014 runways were full of wrap mini skirts.   Anthony Vaccarello had the evening version, Saint Laurent showed the Scottland de luxe style, Balmain somehow inspired us on how to wear a wrap mini above a pencil skirt  … OK let’s stop here! I think its a real trend! Its in line with the general cowboys and indians and gauchos  thing! Its somehow an invitation of fashion brands to choose whether you want to wrap your blanket around the shoulders, like Burberry suggested, or around the waist! As the style is nothing excitingly new chances are that you already have it in your wardrobe and its only time to take it out again. Fun fact about the whole thing is that fall and winter is the season for all those, woman that are not genetically blessed with fabulous slightly tanned legs to rise the hemline a little. Some nice black opaque tights can definitely compensate a little for some veins and stains at the legs!!!

Whats your opinion? Do you like wrap mini skirts?
