Stella McCartney flatforms with their huge wooden and serrated rubber sole were first introduced for fall 2014, mainly as a limited edition. These days they can be seen as potential candidate to turn from one season wonder into a more lasting icon. However, for most average people they might seem hard to wear upon first sight! So lets collect some inspirations on how to wear Stella McCartney flatforms in style!
With or without socks Stella McCartney flatforms works incredibly well with short or above the knee skirts. For everyone? Well, of course not. Basically for skinny and tall woman! For them the bulky shoe makes the leg appear even more skinny. However, for all those with more compact legs and small feet its a rather good choice as the shoe will shorten legs and feet.
Worn with a below the knee skirts things are surely slightly paired down. However, depending on how well you manage to walk in the shoes its risky business. Chances are that you look more like a lump than a fashionista!
A long skirt seems to be a great match for the Stella McCartney Flatforms. Particularly when its a more lightweight fabric its a great contrast with the bulky shoe!
As much as I like the idea of Stella McCartney flatforms worn with a skirt my ultimate favorite combination is the one with a pair of cropped or cuffed pants with a slightly wider leg opening. As long as the pants end directly above the ankle where the leg is extremely skinny the bulky shoe helps to enhance the illusion of totally skinny legs.
Do you already own a pair of flatforms? How do you wear yours?
