So let’s continue with our shopping guide for fall 2014 and the makeover of the next wardrobe department – Its skirts. So now skirts for fall and when I had a look at the street style during fashion week there was one clear message – midi skirts for fall please!
Like it or not that’s what the showgoers thought regarding skirts this fall and yes its hugely in line with what designers are showing on the runways. So what did buyers think? Did they feel that the general fashion mainstream needs more time to adapt to midi skirt length or did Justin O’Shea and the likes fully embrace it? The skirt department of mytheresa.com is made up of 385 skirts, 206 (53.5%) short, 125 (32.5%) knee length and 54 (14%) midi and long. At net-a-porter.com the situation isn’t that different. They offer 597 skirts, 220 knee length, 194 short, 113 midi and 70 maxi.
So yes I guess midi for fall 2014 is made for all the fashion contrarians and hasn’t arrived as a mainstream staple yet!
What do you think? Do you like midi skirts? And how would you wear them?
