Chanel the heritage brand founded by Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel back in 1921 is among my favorite high end fashion brands. No matter wether a piece is vintage or contemporary I am totally amazed by the timeless design and high craftsmanship which goes into it.
In this group of posts I am going to show you my favorite pieces from Chanel collections and share all other Chanel related issues I consider interesting.

What to expect from Chanel spring 2015?

“Boulevard Chanel” – That’s what the invitation to the upcoming Chanel spring 2015 runway for next Tuesday reads. Simple and precise an iconic Parisian blue green street sign on a pale wall of a Haussmanian sandstone building. Another shopping scenario on the runway for spring 2015? A homage to Parisian style?

Let’s talk Chanel jewelry …

Last Monday we just arrived back from one week in Paris. And what to say it was incredible. Paris in September is always so inspiring – the fall collections have arrived in store, breathtaking exhibitions like AD Interieurs and the Biennale des Antiquaires et de la Haute Joaillerie open their doors, all the restaurants reopen after the big summer break and many of the stores like Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche organize cool events to draw customers to the retail floors. On the other hand the woman’s summer collections for 2015 are in full run. At the moment they are in Milan and next Tuesday they go into the last round hitting Paris. So what to start with? Fall 2014 trends and shopping tips? Inspirations from our Paris trip? Streetstyle and runway news from fashion month? Maybe I start with the thing that’s still most present in my mind …

Have you already had a look at the Chanel grocery store jackets?

It took me until today to realize that I already analyzed the Chanel grocery store bags, jewelry and knitwear but totally forgot about the jackets. And whats a Chanel show without jackets right? So lets hurry and analyze them a little closer together! What looked easy to wear, versatile and timeless as well as of lasting or even increasing value?

Besides the LV debut collection of Nicolas Ghesquière the Chanel grocery collection seemed to be one of the most editorial collections this fall. In particular the candy pink skirt suit made it on the cover of Harpers Bazaar US, into Vogue Paris August issue and on the cover of the Fashions Night Out September supplement as well as into the Elle US Kristen Stewart shooting just to name a few, pic come from pinterest

Chanel grocery store runway – Let’s have a look at the knitwear!

Ever since Chanel purchased heritage Scottish cashmere mill Barrie back in December 2012 knitwear has more and more become a very integral part of every Chanel collection. When it comes to the pre-fall Paris-Dallas show my absolute favorite knitwear pieces were the huge blanket scarf that came in different colors and texture. For the Chanel grocery store runway Karl Lagerfeld opted for the complete opposite of those surely a little hard to wear pieces and showed some super easy to combine infinity scarfs. Again the scarfs were my absolute knitwear standout from the collection!

My top 3 from the Chanel grocery bag collection

After Paris Dallas (Chanel pre-fall collection) gave the Chanel classics, like Boy, flap and reissue bag, a vintage cowboy makeover the supermarket collection adapts them for the ghetto kids! Something like that might be one of the first thoughts that crosses once mind when having a look at the 2 parts from the Chanel fall collection. But taking a little deeper look I have to admit that there are some really great pieces hidden in the Chanel grocery bag collection, which starts to arrive slowly in store at the moment!
